Someone asked if having rape fantasies was okay if you don’t support rape in real life. The 10-12 answers received basically had the following meaning : “Yes! Absolutely”.

Well, no. You can’t. Fantasies are part of your imagination, they are in your mind, you control them, you decide what happens, you want them. This is basically the opposite of rape and it can not be called a “rape fantasy”.

Rape is something you have no control over, something you do not consent to, and especially not something you enjoy.

Calling fantasies about consensual domination foreplays “rape fantasies” just throws some more coal into the fires of rape-culture. Stop doing it.
